The Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower, the Empire State Building or the Great Wall of China are some of the great works by the man who transformed the focus of interest and desire by travelers around the globe.

Such is the fame of these and other structures photo agency Alamy files decided to develop a ranking to know which are the world’s most photographed buildings. Sure, it’s hard to say because some world renowned melee compete for first place.

However, the laurels carries the iconic Eiffel Tower, the great symbol of Paris and a construction which, paradoxically, was widely criticized in its early days when the great Eiffel devised this mass of iron. Over the years the monument was recognized and is now the most photographed building in the world, beating other great icons like the Taj Mahal or the Statue of Liberty.
